On April 28-29, 2016, the most-awaited event of the Filipino architects will be held in the “Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo” of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. This momentous event, which will be attended by architects based in regions around the country, is chaired by Ar. Maundelito S. Florendo, an EARIST Faculty member, who is at the same time serving as the Campus Architect of the same school.
This annual national assembly of the Philippine Institute of Architects (PIA) will be attended by its members who will come from various regions of the country by as far as La Union in North and Zamboanga in South. The venue, the Cultural Center of the Philippines is a masterpiece of Leandro V. Locsin, one of the five national artists who will be posthumously given recognition in this event. Along with Locsin, the four other national artists are Ildefonso P. Santos, Pablo Antonio, Jose Ma. Zaragosa, and the first PIA President Juan F. Nakpil.
